Do you know a student who’s excelling against the odds or a university that is working tirelessly to support students from less-advantaged backgrounds in the UK? Do you have a mentor who is helping you achieve your potential?

The Student Social Mobility Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of undergraduates from lower socioeconomic backgrounds from across the UK. The Awards recognise students who have excelled in their field and demonstrated great resilience, determination or initiative. 

They also showcase the outstanding work being done by individuals and organisations to transform social mobility across the UK. This includes awards for schools, mentors, employers, and university initiatives that have championed social mobility and enabled others to realise their full potential.

Nominations for the 2023 Student Social Mobility Awards are officially open! You may be particularly interested to know more about the Undergraduate Awards, either to make a nomination or to be nominated yourself. 

⚙️We have eight Sector Awards that recognise outstanding achievement in specific career sectors while at university, ranging from Tech to the Creative Industries and FMCG. 

💡The Champion of Social Mobility Award, will this year be awarded to the three undergraduates deemed to have made the most impressive contribution to tackling social mobility. 

🧠 New for this year, we’re introducing the Academic Success Award, which will go to the three students who have achieved the most impressive academic feats while at university, breaking through barriers in the process. 

🔥Each nominated undergraduate is automatically eligible for the Outstanding Achievement Award. The Outstanding Achievement Award goes to the nominee with the highest overall score from the judges. 

The 2023 ceremony will be hosted at the Mansion House, London, in its spectacular Egyptian Hall! With all travel and accommodation expenses covered for shortlisted nominees.
