For those of us who are out and about again, there’s a spot of good news when it comes to picking up your daily coffee…

Costa Coffee has announced that all your favourite treats will cost you considerably less during August, with a coffee costing as little as just 32p!

Thanks to the government's Eat Out To Help Out scheme - which has been launched to help the stricken hospitality sector bounce back from the effects of the coronavirus lockdown - Costa will be offering a 50% discount on its menu on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout August.

So, how can you bag yourself a 32p coffee? Well first of all you’ll need to take in your own own reusable cup, which entitles you to a 25p discount, add on the the temporary VAT cut and the 50% off a £1 filter coffee will set you back just 32p. I mean, it really is the ground floor of coffees, but not too bad at all eh?

And if you want to make a quick breakfast of it, a croissant will cost you just 59p rather than the standard £1.35 - That’s 91p for your brekkie on-the-go!

If you do fancy something a bit more, well, fancy, don’t worry, you can still get yourself a bargain. A flat white that would normally cost £2.70 will come in at just £1.06 while the popular vegan ham and cheese toastie, (usually £2.95) but will now be just £1.29.

And if you’re in the mood for a bit of a sweet treat, the millionaire's shortbread will cost you just 86p (down from £1.95) while the salted caramel brownie will plummet from £2.25 to 99p.

Managing Director of Costa Coffee UK&I, Neil Lake, said: "We're delighted to have signed up to the Government's 'Eat Out to Help Out' Scheme, offering customers the opportunity to sit in store, relax and enjoy a perfectly hand-crafted cup of coffee and their favourite Costa Coffee food, for less.

"With over 1,700 Costa Coffee stores offering an eat-in area, no minimum spend required and a new summer range available in stores, customers will be spoilt for choice over what to enjoy.

"The safety of our team members and customers remains our number one priority and our eat-in areas have been designed in line with Government guidelines, with enhanced safety and operating measures in place to help ensure we keep everyone safe.”

And if it’s a dinner time treat you’re after, starting next week you’ll be able to pick up a Nando’s ¼ PERi-PERi Chicken + 2 Sides for the absolute bargain price of £3.38!

The chicken chain had already slashed prices in line with the recent reduction of VAT from 20% down to 5% for the hospitality sector, with customers making savings across eat-in services, delivery, and online click and collect.

However, from August 3rd Nando's will be further cutting their prices by 50% on all food products.

We spotted the discount on hotukdeals where the poster provided a few examples of exactly how cheap some of our faves are going to be when the deal hits.

The prices will be valid on the 3rd-5th, 10th-12th, 17th-19th & 24th-26th August, but remember they’ll be valid when eating in only!

So, you can treat yourself to a ¼ PERi-PERi Chicken for just £1.85, ¼ PERi-PERi Chicken + 2 Sides for £3.38 or Halloumi sticks and dip starter for £1.74.

However, don’t feel like your’e limited - the 50% applies across all food on the menu!
