Who says ice cream is only for summer - certainly not me, and certainly not Cadbury, who have released an epic looking Double Decker ice cream.
And boy does it look good.
A photo of the new arrival was posted to @kevssnackreviews with the caption: "New Cadbury Double Decker Ice Cream with chewy nougat core £3 at Asda.”
Yep, you read that right, he said chewy nougat core, possibly the three greatest words in the English language.
Judging by the reaction to Kev’s Insta post, Cadbury better crank their nougat machines up to eleven, as this stuff will probably be flying off the shelves.
One ice cream enthusiast commented: “I need to find this beauty ha ha xx” While another said: “omg bet this is amazing... get to Asda X” Although one eager beaver maybe got a little bit carried away writing: “I’d sh*g that, n it’s cold so can 100% be consumed at our desk.” Blimey.
On a more personal note, I think it’s good to see the Double Decker getting some love, I’ve always been a vocal advocate of the chocolate bar based on its pound (lb) for pound (£) delivery of chocco satisfaction, and, not to get too sentimental, but I do sometimes feel that it gets unfairly overlooked. Maybe that’s just me.
If by this point you’re wondering what the heck I’m on about and you’re unfortunate enough to have never tried a Double Decker, they’re made of two contrasting layers of crispy cereal and soft nougat, all coated in smooth Cadbury milk chocolate. Delicious.
