Here's The Biggest Autumn/Winter Trends To Shop This Weekend
There's no denying that Autumn fashion is better than any other season. My favourite part of the year is finally ditching the denim shorts and dramatically ripping out any evidence of summer from my wardrobe, before replacing it all with autumnal shades and fluffy coats that have me feeling like Manchester's very own (low budget) Carrie Bradshaw (just let me have my dream, ok?).
It's a new season and a new term at university and we've officially been graced with our student loans to help us survive til January (which obviously includes the occasional impulse purchase to keep us all sane), so to help spread your fund a little further - we've rounded up the hottest trends this season to "invest" in from our favourite brands right now.
I know what you're thinking... Florals for Autumn? Groundbreaking... But there's something about pairing the feminine with a little bit of grunge that is perfect for Autumn styling, florals included. Seamlessly transitioning from the Summer season, this season's take on the trend features dark subtle prints and elegant evening wear for if you're feeling a bit more regal than usual. Fash-hun on a Pot Noodle budget, amiright?
Sonya is out, and Kat Slater is in this season with leopard print EVERYTHING. No need to whack out your best cockney accent for this look though (luckily), because this season it's had the cool-girl treatment in more subtle, wearable prints that can be easily paired with dark denim or leather items to make it a little bit more Em Rata than Eastenders extra.
Among the usual culprits, this year ruffles are takin' over the high street, with victorian-esque tiers of ruffles adorning seasonal staples. There's pretty much a ruffle for whatever your vibe is, with ruffle hem skirts perfect for accompanying a slogan tee, to organza details to amp up your Saturday night outfit.
A tried and tested staple of the colder months, leather is taking all forms this season from trousers, coats to shirts and skirts for the full look. Keep your eye out for snakeskin styles and pops of colour, too this season as it's all about the details for 2019's refresh.
