As the old adverts used to say, ‘there’s nothing quite like a McDonald’s (breakfast for sorting out that treacherous hangover).

But, let’s be honest with ourselves here, when the scale of your hangover is such that nothing but a Bacon & Egg McMuffin and a hash brown will sort you out, the chances are that 10.30 in the morning is not a time you want to be seeing.

Well, with that in mind, we’ve got some lovely old news for you - after trialing longer breakfast times in seven of its restaurants, the powers that be at McDonald's have decided to roll out the extended hours to 115 of its stores.

Before you get too excited, the extended breakfast hours only stretch to 11am, but it’s a start right? I for one am hoping it could be the first step towards the promised land of a McDonald’s all-day-breakfast...

Thanks to the customers of seven McDonald’s stores in and around the Portsmouth area - where the initial trial took place -  a load more of us will now have that extra half hour to get a McBreakfast down our McNecks.

Unfortunately (for me) the majority of stores taking part in the trial seem to be down south, and mostly in service stations, so you could be in for a mission...

I was going to include the the full list of restaurants that are now offering the extended breakfast hours, but let’s face it, that would be super boring, so best just to check with your local to see if you’re one of the lucky ones…

Hopefully it’s only a matter of time before the (bacon) roll out is complete…
