A wise man once said, “anyone who says that money cannot buy happiness has clearly never spent their money on Pizza.”

Ranging from classic, thin-crust margheritas to fully loaded stuffed-crust chicken delights, there's plenty of options when it comes to choosing your favourite pizza. We’ve rounded up a few of the best pizza spots in Manchester.

#1 Prezzo

Prezzo Manchester Media City is in the centre of Media City complex in Salford Quays – an international hub where media and digital business meet.

With a spacious open plan dining room boasting clean lines and ultra-modern décor and surrounded by a big glass façade, the bright restaurant is definitely one of the best chill spots in the area.

The Prezzo menu presents a range of exciting dishes, crafted using the season’s best ingredients. Sample meat & fish dishes like chicken Milanese or sea bass, along with classic pasta recipes, and risotto.

The hand-stretched, stone-baked pizzas are highly rated. Highlights to look out for include the Posh Pepperoni pizza, which consists of Salami Milano, Calabrese sausage and salsiccia piccante complemented by sweet roquito chillies, rocket and the customary mozzarella and tomato sauce.

#2 Ask Italian

Located in the heart of Piccadilly Gardens; less than ten minutes’ walk from Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria train stations, Ask Italian is the perfect place to enjoy your pizza and soak up the lively atmosphere that the city centre has to offer.

If you love your seafood, we recommend you try the Linguine Con Frutti Di Mare pizza, consisting of King prawns, mussels, clams and squid in a rich tomato sauce. Fancy something different? Try the Calzone Carne Piccante – a folded pizza stuffed with pepperoni, fresh chillies, ham, beef and pork ragu sautéed mushrooms, tomato sauce and mozzarella.

#3 Pizza Express

Perfectly located in the Piccadilly area of Manchester City Centre, Pizza Express in just a short walk from the Piccadilly train station, metro stop, and the Arndale shopping centre. There’s also an al fresco seating area where you can enjoy the bustling view of the Manchester.

We recommend you try the mouth-watering Barbacoa pizza – consisting of pulled Barbacoa beef, spiced chipotle salsa, tomato, mozzarella and garlic oil topped with fresh red onion, tomato and coriander on a Romana base. If you want to stick to a vegetarian option, we recommend the Padana pizza. That’s Goat’s cheese, caramelised onion, spinach, red onion, tomato and garlic oil on a Romana base. There’s also the Vegan Giardiniera, which consists of Artichoke, mushrooms, red onion and black olives, with tomato, vegan mozzarella alternative, garlic oil and parsley on a Romana base.

#4 Zizzi

Another one that’s located in Piccadilly Gardens, Zizzi serves tasty, authentic dishes from pizza, pasta and risotto to salads and indulgent desserts – all in a uniquely designed restaurant.

The pizza menu is split into three parts: skinny pizzas, classic pizzas, and the restaurant’s signature pizza rustica – which is hand stretched that bit further for a bigger base, a crispier texture and more toppings. Vegan and vegetarian options are included. We recommend you try the Rustica Smoky Chorizo, consisting of Chorizo salami, torn wild boar and pork meatballs, smoked mozzarella and baby sunblush tomatoes. Topped with chilli threads and riserva cheese.
