Sitting at a desk all day ain't comfy, I'll tell you that for nothin'. Trying to get comfortable can be quite literally a pain in the behind, sometimes it just makes you want to sit cross-legged on the floor.

Well with this new chair you can in fact sit cross-legged like a primary school student, but still be socially acceptable in the grown up world!

Known as The Soul Seat, the brand new invention was created by American health company, Health By Design.

Unlike all those regular boring chairs, the Soul Seat gives you the option to sit however is comfiest for you.

It offers an adjustable raised seat and a lower second level that you can cross your legs on or even leave one leg jus' hangin'. The possibilities are endless.

Also said to be great for your posture, the company says it 'tilts the pelvis forward, opens the hips, and lets the spine align to a comfortable, neutral position', which does sound delightful.

The invention was created by designer and founder, Pack Matthews, who felt a growing frustration with normal chairs.

However, the seats do come at a high price. Soul Seats start at $875 (£675) and can go up to $1200 (£925) depending on the finish. Hey, comfort don't come cheap it seems.

Tbh, I can't really see any university investing that much in comfy seats for the library, you'll have to just stick with the old naff ones they've had for years.

Maybe this has got you thinking you need to spruce up your own house, you know get a few new comfy chairs around the place?
