If you’ve discovered a love for baking during lockdown, but are looking for something to move on to now you’ve used up all your black bananas, why not turn your hand to truffles?

But these aren’t your basic chocolate truffles, oh no, this is a way of combining everyone’s favourite snack sensation, Biscoff, with an indulgent little treat.

And judging by the amount of people who are posting pics of their homemade versions of the delicacy to Instagram at the moment it must taste as good as it sounds!

There are quite a lot of different versions online, but one of the more interesting ones is the Biscoff Cheesecake Truffle - and even better, you’ll only need four ingredients to make it.

As long as you’ve got Biscoff biscuits, Biscoff spread, cream cheese and a bit of coconut for dusting, you’re good to go!

The recipe was posted on TikTok by Sydney-based Walla Abu-Eid, 30, and takes just minutes to prepare.

And when she shared it to Instagram, it quickly got people’s tongues wagging and mouths watering - as I'm sure you can imagine!

Speaking to Tyla, Walla said: “I have recently been obsessed with Lotus Biscoff so wanted to use it to make a bite-sized dessert that was available to munch on whenever I had a sweet craving.

"Truffles sounded like a great idea! I crushed a bit of the biscuits, added some spread and cream cheese and the perfect Biscoff cheesecake truffles were born.

"After posting these on Instagram they were recreated hundreds of times. They have the perfect balance of sweetness, crunch and nuttiness - simply Biscoff heaven.”

Here's Walla's recipe if you want to try it for yourself.

Ingredients:

  • 2 packs Biscoff lotus biscuits (broken up)

  • 3 tbsp Biscoff spread

  • 3 tbsp cream cheese (any type!)

  • Coconut for coating

Method:

  1. Crush biscuits and add cream cheese and Biscoff spread

  2. Roll into balls and coat in coconut!

That's literally it! Super easy right?

But as I said, Walla isn’t the only person making Biscoff truffles, with many people posting their creations on Instagram.

There are just too many delicious things out there!
