As the remakes continue, eyes also continue to roll. 'GIVE US SOME NEW FILMS' you may scream. But I think for this one we can make an exception...

Disney fans can rejoice as we're apparently getting a live action remake of Lilo & Stitch, aka the cutest Disney film ever made!

According to The DisInsider - an online publication dedicated to reporting Disney news - the live-action remake it set to begin production in Hawaii in autumn this year.

While it's not totally been confirmed by Disney, it's currently reported that the voice of Stitch, Chris Sanders, is expected to make a return.

Apparently it will follow the same story as the original film, but in case you've forgotten, the movie is all about Lilo, a little girl living in Hawaii and her dog-like friend named Stitch.

Stitch is from another planet and was created in a genetic experiment. He comes to earth where he pretends to be a dog and ends up being adopted buy Lilo who is being raised by her older sister following the tragic death of their parents.

Stitch is completely closed off to love and emotion, but with the help of Lilo he then understands the true meaning of family.

Grab the tissues hun, it's adorable.

The film was originally released in 2002 and we can't wait to see how they're going to recreate this loving tale in a live action remake.

This news comes after the successes of Disney's previous remakes, such as the Jungle Book (which raked in £739 million) and The Lion King (which brought in £1.27 billion).

I'm personally counting down the days until we get the new Mulan film, which is hitting screens March 27th.

Defo one for the diary kids!
