It sounds like life off screen is just as challenging as life on screen for the Game of Thrones cast as Jon Snow himself has revealed that filming the latest series literally ‘broke’ them.

It sounds like life off screen is just as challenging as life on screen for the Game of Thrones cast as Jon Snow himself revealed that filming the latest series literally ‘broke’ them.

HBO's smash hit series is due to finish when the eighth and final series airs this April, with the hype already reaching fever pitch.

And judging by Kit’s recent interview with GQ, it seems like the emotions of the cast and crew are just as heightened as those of the fans.

Kit said: “The last season of Thrones seemed to be designed to break us. Everyone was broken at the end.”

"I don't know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so f*cking tiring.

"We were sleep deprived. It was like it was designed to make you think, 'Right, I'm f*cking sick of this'.

"I remember everyone walking around towards the end going, 'I've had enough now. I love this, it's been the best thing in my life, I'll miss it one day - but I'm done’.”

And tongues around the world were set wagging once more after it was revealed the new series is promising to stage some of the biggest on screen battles of all time with Jon Snow reportedly facing the Night King in episode three.

The final season will comprise of six episodes - which are fully expected to break TV records - with each being described as individual movies by HBO bosses.

Details are thin on the ground, but HBO boss Richard Plepler, told reporters:

“It’s going to be a spectacle. They knew the bar was high. They’ve exceeded the bar. I’ve watched them (the episodes) twice without any CGI and I’m in awe. Everybody’s in for an extraordinary treat of storytelling and of magical, magical production.”

This is going to be epic.
